Menstruation is often pushed to the sidelines in sport clubs. It’s time to tackle that taboo with a campaign that scores on every level — a bold move towards open dialogue between coaches, players, and fans. And video? The ultimate teammate to make it happen.
Our approach

Raise awareness with a wink

Rebelle aimed at an awareness campaign with a comical wink. So we rolled up our sleeves to write a screenplay that delivers the facts to sports fans with a touch of self-reflection. We were looking for a way to playfully headline a serious message.

The result

REBELLIOUS PSYCHOLOGY

Ultimately, our script played the reverse psychology card. By staging an over-the-top scenario, we showed what not to do. Because “coach, I have my period” doesn't have to unleash a hyper-patronizing response. Let's just talk.

PERIOD ON THE PLAYING FIELD

The result is an awareness campaign that puts menstruation at the center of the playing field. A light-hearted wake-up call that holds up a mirror to the viewer. The message is reinforced through extra social media content and airtime on Belgium’s public broadcaster and its sports channel: VRT and Sporza.
